Illamasqua Throb Collection Swatches

I recently purchased the Throb Collection from the Illamasqua website. It's the first time I've purchased polishes from them so I had no idea what exactly to expect. Sure enough the next day a mysterious black package arrived and here's what was inside when I opened it:

polishes: Scorn, Load, Throb and an absolutely stunning Illamasqua brochure and flyer promoting the Throb Collection

I must confess they'd already won me over with the gorgeous packaging, it felt so special opening this up :D

L-R Load, Throb and Scorn

 Illamasqua Load
Load is a stunning off-white cream creme (hehe) and I am absolutely in love with this colour, its very unique, and I definitely don't already have anything quite like it, it applies quite thick and the first coat was a bit streaky, but after another coat it evened out perfectly with a thick shiny finish.

Illamasqua Throb

Illamasqua Throb is a Crimson red creme, and it has instantly become my favourite red creme in my collection, it applies like an absolute dream and the end result is just a perfect thick glossy even finish, absolutely gorgeous!!! Was completely opaque at 1 coat, but I applied 2 here.

Illamasqua Scorn
Illamasqua Scorn is a matte black with a rubber-like texture, it dries smooth and even with a muted shine, and is absolutely gorgeous! It's finish is a lot better than other matte polishes I've tried and its very forgiving with ridges which is always a plus :D Trully love this one!

It's near impossible for me to pick a favourite from this collection, I'm completely in love with all three polishes, and very impressed with the quality of Illamasqua Polishes, they may be on the thick side for some people but personally I'm very fond of thick polishes, as they are opaque a lot quicker and have a lovely thick glossy finish (apart from Scorn of course which dries matte). I Will definitely be visiting www.illamasqua.com again, once my pocket recovers that is  :D
