NOTD - Attitude Deep Azure

Attitude Deep Azure is a gorgeous deep royal navy shade packed with shimmer. The shimmer flashes dark purple and blue depending on which angle your looking at the polish, it actually reminds me a lot of OPI Ink (2nd photo), and similar to Ink the purple tones in this polish are nearly impossible to capture on camera.

Attitude - Deep Azure

OPI Ink
Application wise, the consistency of Attitude polishes is usually a little on the gloopy side and this is definitely the case with Deep Azure, so things can get a little messy, but the colour is completely opaque at 2 coats. I also found that a coat of Seche Vite is needed to really bring out the shimmer in this shade! You can really see the purple tones of Deep Azure in the bottle in the next photo:

All in all a great colour, I always seem to reach for shades like this when I'm feeling a little tired of Black Polish, but still fancy something dark. They have the same awesome vampy contrast that black polish has, while having an extra depth of shimmer and colour to them, making them more interesting and fun to look at :)

I'm really enjoying Attitude polishes at the moment, they retail here in the UK for very cheap (around £2) and the quality is simply great at that price. They do have some lovely unusual shades as well, I've got a couple more I really need to try out including a duochrome! :)

NOTD - Holographic Neon Crackle

What do you get when you merge a neon, a holo and some crackle, a very  bright summery manicure :)

This was
Base Coat: OPI Nail Envy 1 coat
China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy 3 coats
OPI Standing Room Only (holo) 1 coat
China Glaze Crackle Glaze Broken Hearted 1 coat

OPI Standing Room Only is a definite favourite of mine, it can make nearly any colour holographic, the possibilities are endless, but I'm most fond of using it over neon shades like Flip Flop Fantasy. This is the second time I've tried Broken Hearted crackle polish over holo and I have to say I really love the effect! Really enjoying the summery pinks at the moment!

NOTD - No 7 Golden Palms

While in Boots recently I got a £5 voucher for No 7, so I thought I'd have a quick peep at the polishes, and I spotted this beauty:

No 7 Golden Palms

Golden Palms is a release for summer 2011 from No 7, and I am absolutely in love with this colour. A warm rusty bronze packed with golden shimmer. Effect wise this polish really reminds me of the finish on the Zoya Sunshine collection, particularly Faye, it could be her tanned sister :)

Zoya Faye

I have to admit I'm not usually that enamored by No 7 shades, but Golden Palms is seriously stunning, and very unique. Had no problems with application, consistency wise it was a lot like Zoya Faye, perhaps a little thinner, this was 3 coats. A lovely even glossy coverage. Gorgeous in the sunshine, definitely a good holiday polish! Here is a multitude of photos to show the awesome multi tonal nature of this polish.

NOTD OPI Flower-To-Flower with GOSH Rainbow on top

Here is Flower-to-Flower by OPI with 1 coat of GOSH Rainbow on top:

Just when I thought this pink couldn't get any prettier! I'd never tried GOSH Rainbow over lighter colours so this mani was quite a nice surprise. Rainbow is an awesome glitter top coat packed with large duochrome flakies, which flash, red/gold/green/orange (check out the bottle in the above pic), at different angles. I've heard Sally Hansen's Hidden Treasure is a dupe for this awesome colour. Rainbow would definitely be in my top 10 polishes of all time list! I've taken so many photos but I still don't think I've managed to capture just how awesome this duochrome beauty really is!

NOTD OPI Flower-To-Flower

Today's NOTD is OPI Flower-to-Flower from OPIs Summer Flutter Collection for 2010.

Flower-to-Flower is a lovely pink shade with a hint of coral, actually makes me think of the Pantone colour of the year: Honeysuckle just a touch on the pinker side. This colour is packed with subtle microshimmer, which makes it a very unique shade. I absolutely love the coral undertones, this is a fabulous shade for summer and one of my favourite bright pink polishes! This was 3 coats, an absolutely lovely formula to work with. Here are some more photos :)

Coat Azure is my definite favourite from Essie's A French Affair Collection. Coat Azure is a vibrant sky blue toned polish packed with shimmer. The shimmer gives this polish a gorgeous multidimensional effect, this shade seriously stands out! Absolutely gorgeous, one of my favourite blues from this years collections so far! If you click the pictures to enlarge you can really see the stunning shimmer!

Essie A French Affair Collection Spring 2011 Minis Part 3 - French Affair

Next up from the Essie French Affair mini collection is French Affair

French Affair is a cool toned pale pastel pink shade, with a creme finish and more pink toned than Nice is Nice. Application was a little on the streaky side, but with 3 coats you can get a nice even coverage. French Affair is a gorgeous sophisticated understated shade, an ice cream pink that will look awesome with a tan! The photos have desaturated the shade slightly, it is a little more vibrant in real life!

Is anyone else having this problem :( very frustrating :(

Essie A French Affair Collection Spring 2011 Minis Part 2 - Nice Is Nice

Next up from Essie's A French Affair Collection for Spring 2011 is Nice Is Nice:

Nice is Nice is a pale pastel lavender shade with a creme finish. This was 3 coats, although the shade was fully opaque at 2. The polish applies nice and evenly. There is a slight pink tone to this colour making it very wearable, the pink tone is most visible if you look at the last photograph taken outdoors in the shade.

Essie A French Affair Collection Spring 2011 Minis Part 1 - Topless and Barefoot

Essie Topless and Barefoot is a warm egg shell beige creme finish polish. Application is a little tricky, I always find most Essie's apply on the thick side, but I still somehow need 3 coats to achieve a flawless finish. I have to admit Essie is one of the best brands for longevity, I usually have absolutely no tip wear what so ever after 3/4 days.

I used all 4 shades from this mini collection for my Easter Themed Nail Art Mani, you can click the pic if you would like more info:

I really do like this nude colour, especially since it's very opaque, I tend to prefer opaque nudes over sheer, to be honest I would only really wear sheer nudes as a french mani or nail art base colour. I have to admit Essie minis, are my favourite minis from any collection, you get 5ml in each bottle, and the brush is a perfect size for application and the bottles look cute without being super tiny!

NOTD Zoya Flame - Gloria

Zoya Gloria is from the Zoya Flame Collection, which was released in winter 2010.

Gloria is a gorgeous metallic dark pink polish packed with metallic gold flecks, making this polish flash all sorts of shades as it catches the sunlight. A truly stunning shade. As with most Zoya polishes application is a breeze, they have one of my favourite brushes, relatively small, but fans out just enough to get great coverage without messing up the edges :) always a bonus. This was opaque in 2 coats.
